GH 2/4: Dante, if I'd known you were shot, I would have just let you get hit by the ricochet of the bullet!

House of Lemon Pledges:  Jason insists to Carly that Sonny's only hope is to convince Sonny to leave the country.  Carly says Jax wouldn't forgive her, and that she just can't.  Jason is dumbfounded and says that she must not understand.  That Sonny has gone to that aggravating Dark Place where he won't save himself.  Yes.  noble is the first word I think of when I think of Sonny.  Carly says she has a new marriage and life now.  Jason actually busts out that it's always been her, Jason and Sonny that stick together.

Cafe Interrogate:  Diane tries to discuss the charges against Sonny rationally, but all he knows is that somehow he accidentally shot his son.

Dante's Room:  Dante says he had dreams that she said she loves him and that Sonny is his father.  Looloo gently says it's true that she loves him, but he needs to brace himself b/c it's also true that Sonny is his father.

Credits

Chapel:  Jax says he intends to tell Carly about his role in Sonny's getting shot.  He believes that on some level she knows they are better off without Sonny in their lives.  Dante getting shot complicates things.  Olivia regrets that Jax ever got involved.  She winces when she thinks about how confusing this is to Morgan.  Carly begs Jax to tell Carly the whole truth as soon as possible before she finds out some other way.  She says she stubbornly did this her way, and now she may lose her son.  She says Carly loves him and wants to spend her life with him and will forgive him.

House of Lemon Pledges:  Carly thinks maybe it's time Sonny start paying for the choices he makes.  Jason says something along the lines of if Sonny leaves the country, everyone will assume it's b/c he killed Claudia, and then no one will question Michael.

Lakehouse:  Michael explains to Milly, Morgan and K about how he was out on The Lone Road To Canada, and he saw the stolen car, and then he somehow magically found the cabin.  and Claud was there with the baby and Carly, and he chopped her head off, and surprisingly she died.  and now Sonny is in trouble for what he did.

Cafe Interrogate:  Diane tries to explain the severity of the trouble he's in for shooting a cop.  Sonny again says that stupid thing that he didn't know he was a cop.  Diane grits her teeth and says that doesn't change anything, she's frustrated and angry like she's talking to a Holocaust denier. Sonny insists he has to get bail so he can explain to Dante.  Yes, I'm sure cop shooters get bail on a regular basis.  That would be mocktarded, even for Port Charles.  Diane explains that Sonny can't do anything for or about Dante.  He can only work towards not spending life in prison.

Dante's Room:  Dante relates to Looloo about his shooting.  He remembers Olivia running in and realizes that Olivia has known all along.

Commercials

Jake's:  Lucky plays pool and has a beer.  Mac stops by to remind him that he's an addict, so drinking is a bad idea.  Lucky says he's found the discovery of the affair to be very liberating.  He doesn't have to try to make Liz happy anymore.  Mac says the same thing happened to him and Flea.  Ew, remember the weird Fluke sex?

Cafe Interrogate:  Carly visits and updates Sonny on Dante's condition that he's stable and Looloo is with him.  Carly says Diane is trying to get him out of bail.  Sonny says he had dinner with Olivia and Dante the night before b/c his other kids ditched him to go to church.  Carly says she's surprised, but she can vouch that's what they did.  heh.  Sonny says that Dante said the chicken reminded him of his grandmother's chicken dinners.  He holds up a finger as if that could possibly mean something.  Because the grandmother Dante would know is not Sonny's mother.  Carly asks how Sonny was supposed to put this together.  Sonny says after he shot Dante and Olivia screamed he's his son, he thought that his kids will always pay for the terrible things he does.  Yes, like shooting cops.  There are consequences.

Lakehouse:  Morgan says Michael saved Carly and Jocelyn and is a hero.  Kristina is more freaked out by it.  Alexis shows up and notes they all quiet down.

Jason's Penthouse:  Laundromat Lou shows up with a warrant to search the place.  I love that Jason and Sam are all indignant that Lou is really a cop.  As if telling people that you aren't a cop, but then really doing law abiding things is an abomination.  But TELLING PEOPLE YOU SELL COFFEE BUT THEN KILLING PEOPLE IS NOT ANY KIND OF LIE OR A BETRAYAL.  Sorry for yelling.  I expect Jason not to admit he's a hitman, but the hypocrisy of expecting everyone to play by his bizarro world set of morals and rules is aggravating.  Lou promises that he's going to put a world of hurt on Sonny.

Commercials

Jake's:  Mac takes the beer out of Lucky's hand and says he's his best detective (yikes) and he wants him to question Dante.

Dante's Room:  Olivia shows up and Loo leaves.  Dante angrily asks if she was ever going to tell him who his father was, if he didn't shoot him.

Cafe Interrogate:  Sonny says he should have figured it out b/c Dante hated when Sonny flirted with Olivia, and when he was injured at the carnival, Olivia was all over him.

Jason's Penthouse:  Lou somehow knows that Sam was dressed like a Ridiculous Hooker earlier and stole evidence.  They smugly deny it.  Because, see, it's awesome and okay to lie if you are them, but it's betrayal and murder-worthy if you are a cop.  Lou and the cops leave, wishing Jason a nice day.  Jason says Sonny has got to get out of the country.  Except this show is so unbelieveably sucky and stupid, that my guess is Dante the Idiot decides not to press charges.  Thus letting a man walk who is the sort of man who would murder unarmed cops b/c his feelings were hurt.  Totally makes sense that Dante would feel more loyalty to the stranger who TRIED TO KILL HIM than EVERYONE ELSE ON THE PLANET, including his mother and Looloo and Morgan, who will remain in jeopardy as long as Sonny is a free man.  But that's another day.  For now, I'll try to enjoy that things aren't looking good for Sonny.   But...no...I won't enjoy it b/c on ALL other soaps, a character who shot a cop would go to jail.   He'd still be on everyday, and everyone would visit, and Olivia would marry him, and there'd be conjugal sex montages and what not, and then yadda yadda, something would happen that Sonny would go free.  But only on this idiotic show, where they portray soldiers murderers would a cop killer get of without a moment's worry.

Commercials

Jason's Penthouse:  Jason tells Sam that he had to put up all of his and Sonny's legit assets to make bail.  yes, mobsters accused of murdering their wives and burying them in the woods, and shooting cops would get bail.  Yes, show, that's so believable!  Jason sadly says when Sonny runs, they'll both lose their houses.  Sam says no matter what he loses, he won't lose her.  He pulls her close.

Lakehouse:  Alexis says there is a lot going on.  Michael sums it up that they know Dominique is really Dante, and he's a cop, and Sonny shot him, and he's Sonny's son.  Alexis takes it like a champ b/c how can she really be surprised since one of the kids in the room was a secret love child that she still wishes Sonny didn't know about.  Alexis thinks this may be too much to deal with right now.  Milly sadly points out that you're innocent until proven guilty, so maybe this thing with Dante and Sonny can be cleared up.   Alexis says that when someone is murdered, even if there are extenuating circumstances, the consequences can still be quite severe.  Michael suggests that the less they talk about this, the better.  Alexis looks over at Kristina, who is staring miserably straight ahead, holding back tears with all her might, and once glance breaks Alexis' heart because she knows that as much as Sonny, she's the one who put those tears there by failing her child by having Sonny as her father.  Alexis sits by Kristina and says it's okay to love Sonny and hate what he does.  That he does terrible things, but he'd give his life for anyone in this room. Anyone but Michael, that is.  Or maybe Alexis think Michael is Kate in disguise?

Dante's Room:  Dante asks who else knows and Olivia sadly gives the long ass list of men she's spilled this to:  Johnny, Jax, Patrick.  She gulps and says she told Raynor so that he'd take Dante off the case.  dante says Raynor is a liar, and so is she.

Cafe Interrogate:  Carly points out that neither of them truly believed that Sonny would be able to just live his gross life forever, that it was always going to come to an end, one way or another.  She cries and says she knows he'll do what's best for their kids.

Commercials

Cafe Interrogate:  Diane announces she got bail, but if Sonny flees, he'll lose everything he owns.  She hands Carly and Sonny a piece of paper with the bail amount on it, and it causes Carly to suck on her teeth.  heh.  That would be so hilariously dirt bag of Sonny.  To avoid going to jail for committing a heinous crime, he'd leave his children stuck in public school and driving '93 Accords.  They'd all live to see old age, though, which I've always found to be an adequate trade off for not having a mobster as a dad.

Dante's room:  Dante remains hurt that Olivia lied to him.  She says when he was born, Sonny was a kid but becoming a gangster.  He'd have tried to be a good dad, but he would  have stayed in the mob, and eventually, Dante would have gotten involved.  Dante scoffs that this is how she justifies it, and she hisses damn straight this is how she justifies it.  She'd give him his same childhood surrounded by decent, loving men who were good role models over and over again.  He asks why she didn't tell him when he got older, and she admits she should have.  She was afraid of this very conversation, and she says she's sorry and she was wrong.  This only makes Dante cry more.  She says Dante and Sonny are alike in some ways, their focus, their smarts, but Dante is not going to be like Sonny.  She brushes his hair off his forehead, but he tellsher not to touch him.

House of Lemon Pledges:  Jax comes home and admits he's known about Dante being a cop and Olivia's son for awhile.  and also, he stopped Dante from being pulled off the case, so in a way he helped Sonny get arrested.

Airport:  Sonny says this is no good.

Cafe Interrogate:  Olivia is brought in to give her statement about Dante.

Dante's room:  Loo brings Dante some tea.  He says he watched Sonny shoot a good man once, so the shooting didn't surprise him.  It's his mother he feels he doesn't know. Loo says parents lie for lots of reasons, but it doesn't mean they don't love you.  Lucky shows up to take Dante's statement.

Airport:  Sonny doesn't want to go.  Jason points out that Sonny's leaving is how they can save Michael.  Sonny has never particularly cared for the boy, though, and says he's not leaving his kids.  aka, Dante, the only kid he cares about suddenly.  He's never risked a single moment's inconvenience for any of the rest of his spawn.  But now he's fine with facing the death penalty.  I honestly think he's bummed about losing His Stuff, but he knows how that sounds.

Dante's Room:  Lucky starts recording the statement.  But it's all very dramatic and tense, and obviously Dante is going to do something stupid and say he doesn't remember what happened.  Lame!
