GH 2/8: Saintsational!
Even though I woke up at 5am with cramps, I'm in such a good mood still from last nights game, that I hardly even care. Homemade onion rings and corn dogs and way too much wine made for a lovely celebration.
Dante's Room: Dante makes it clear that Sonny being his father means nothing to him. Sonny voice is all crusty with his feelings of victimhood. He says that Dante had responded to him like he was his mentor. Dante doesn't disguise the disdain that Sonny is too stupid to realize that he was doing that as part of his job. Sonny says that he believes they actually connected. Dante righteously points out that Sonny pulled the trigger anyway.
Jason's Penthouse: Sam evaporates, so that Carly and Jason gossip about how Jax is so lame that he doesn't relish having a mobster constantly threatening the lives of his loved ones. That somehow Jax is the one who's created this mess and Sonny was just minding his business when he publicly threatened to gun down Claudia, a known crazy person, and that he couldn't possibly be held accountable for any of the fallout. That Carly herself, that her daughter Jocelyn could have easily been the ones murdered b/c of Sonny's wreckless, selfishness.
Jake's: Liz and her scarf show up at Jake's to talk to Lucky. He doesn't want anything to do with her. He has his beer that helps him sleep at night. That's a healthy plan! Liz cries that she doesn't know how to picture her life without him. ay yi yi with this broad. Lucky says it's time she figured it out. He says she should consider why she wanted Nik instead of him, and who the hell she is. But he doesn't want any part of it. She cries for a second and then bitchily asks "what about the boys? are you out of their lives too?" As if he woke up a week ago, and out of the clear blue didn't love her anymore and broke up with her for no reason. shut up, Liz's bitchface.

Liz says this will be hard on the kids. Lucky angrily points out that she could have cared about that before she slept with Nik. She cries that he's right, and she's sorry, but she does have to know what to tell them, so she can cushion it. Lucky thinks of their faces and calms down and cries that she should tell them he loves them, and he'll see them soon. She pauses a moment and asks if she should wait to hear from him to arrange a visit. He says he'll have an attorney contact her. He says the less they see of each other, the better, and that he can barely stand to look at her. He puts his head down on the bar, she cries a little more and leaves.
Dante's room: Sonny actually says "Ever since Olivia told me you are my son, I did everything I could to save you." Dante asks what the hell that means. Sonny says he didn't leave the country, so he could be here. It's so weird Sonny doesn't ever realize that he's saying "I didn't leave the country, which I have to do to avoid prison time for shooting a cop. the cop in question, being you. and if Olivia hadn't walked in, I'd have watch you bleed to death" He's so confused that this is what Dante is thinking. Dante says he had Sonny pegged for exactly what he is 5 minutes before he shot him. Sonny starts to "explain" again, probably something about, as Liv from Soapnet astutely put it "You don't understand, Dante. I thought I was murdering someone else's child. There's nothing wrong with doing that b/c I wouldn't have been adversely affected, thus there would have been no adverse affects. You would have bled to death, and a stranger would have mourned, but don't you see? Don't you see how that means nothing to me? All that matters is that I've forgiven you for betraying me." Looloo comes in and interrupts all of that and yells at him to get out. He protests, and she tells him to cut the "friend of the family crap" b/c she sees him as Tracy always has, as a two bit thug.

Dante's Room: Dante asks Looloo to stand by him and then firmly asks Sonny to leave. Sonny says he hopes that b/c they are father and son, they can work this out. Good news for you, Sonny, there is a way! Admit you were wrong, do your jail time like a man, and reform your ways. Or, you know give Dante cancer adn then save his life with a bone marrow transplant, and then everyone big, fat, stupid thinks that makes it even.
Jason's Penthouse: Sam and Jason sit on the sofa with Jocelyn. Carly watches from the stairs as Sam bounces Joc and talks about taking her on a boat ride. Instead of being possessive, Carly finds it endearing. She asks if Sam can watch Morgan and Jocelyn while she goes to find Sonny. Jax has to leave to take care of loose ends at GH. I think that means tying up Dante's windpipe.
Jake's: Lucky wants to drink, but Coleman cautions against going down this road. He tells Lucky he may end up fulfulling his own prophesy of having nothing left to live for.

She says Robin will let her use the locker room shower, and she brought a change of clothes. Dante asks Loo to let Maxie take care of her b/c he can't. Maxie says "well, isn't that just to die for." Loo says she'll be right back. Maxie turns to Dante and says it's time they discuss his intentions. heh
Chapel: Olivia lights a candle in thanks of Dante's recovery. Sonny shows up and says Dante wants nothing to do with him. Olivia says it's Dante's choice. He remains angry that she lied to him. She says she thanks God every day that Dante grew up without Sonny and points out what he's become.

Sonny says he lost his son before he got a chance to love him. Carly walks in and Sonny cries that Dante is his son, and he doesn't want to give up on him.
Locker Room: Looloo showers and then starts crying until she slides down the wall of the shower and sits in the stream of water, and sobs loudly.
Dante's Room: Maxie asks if Dante was pretending to have feelings for Loo as part of his cover. Dante says he can't win with Maxie b/c she doesn't trust him as a mobster or a cop. Jason walks in silently and leans against the door silently. Maxie says "that's his 'I mean it' voice" and leaves. Jason glares at Dante as Dante says he's heard of these things happening "Detective Falconari dies in the ICU." Jason glares. Also, is Maxie really so stupid that she doesn't think Jason might be there to kill Dante? Or is she so cruel that she knows, but she doesn't care?

Call me crazy, but wouldn't you think that having just had a gaping, sucking chest wound a couple of days ago and nearly dying, you might be on some serious pain meds still and a little out of it for awhile so your body can heal itself? Yet Dante woke up immediatley, has had a parade of visitors, tea with LooLoo and people laying in the bed with him. I know people who just had their gall bladder out and they were unconscious for quite awhile and certainly not up to tea and crumpets and strange and not up to having a slumber party in their beds, not that any REAL hospital would allow that anyway
