GH 7/23: MOCA
Classical music plays whilst Franco's art installation is put together by numberous roadies.
Meanwhile, Mr. B skulks around the hospital.
Nurse's Station: Ethan and Maya chat while Michael and Kristina sit on one of the 1800 lounge sofas. Mr. B glances over at Ethan and Maya and shoots them, just shoots them as casual as you please. It's quite awful. Kristina slinks down behind the sofa, while Michael stands up. Mr. B coldly talks in riddles about his broken heart. he aims the gun at Michael. We see only sees Kristina's reaction of horror.
Also, It's pretty hilarious how everyone got trapped with someone else because of the babynapping. Carly and Patrick have been stuck together, and Carly is startled by the gun shots. Which startles the hell out of me b/c the scene before was so grisly, I had assumed it was a dream.
Nik and Lucky watch Franco on the TV. He speaks in squinty riddles.
MOCA: Franco's giant 1984 head appears on a screen in a room ful of swirling lights and the most dreadful techno music Franco's 1984 head tells the crowd blah blah the line between fiction and reality blah blah blurred. Then the screen fills up with a best of reel of Franco and Jason meeting. Franco in real life, dressed like in the 1984 head version of himself laughs fakely at it all. James Franco may be a better actor/actor than some of these people, but he is by far the worst soap actor on the show.
Credits
Trapped As A Couple Room #117: Patrick stops Carly from running towards the gun shots...a people are so often having to do.
Carnage Station: Mr. B has that "was I just shot" realization creeping across his face. He slowly crumbles to the ground, revealing Mac, lying on the floor, gun in his hand. Once Mr. B is down, Mac collapses. Kristina sobs in Michael's arm, unable to complete a sentence. Shawn Douglas rushes in and begins working on Mac. Maya is hiding behind the nurse's station, staring at the expanding puddle of blood on Ethan's chest. Stephen rushes in to work on Ethan and yells at Maya to help him. She's frozen in panic.
Magical Cancer Patient: Aw, sweet, Ma Shirley has gone to the big house on the prairie in the sky. Good night, John boy! Liz stands by her bed and cries softly. Maxie comes in and is sad to learn that MCPL has passed away. She is also sorry when she realizes that Liz hasn't heard yet that Franco took her baby. Which is better than a dingo, I suppose.
Forced Together As a Couple Room #83243: Lucky and Nik put their big, dumb heads together and listen to Franco yammer on and on about the number 66. Nik thinks Franco took Aiden b/c his id bracelet had a 66. I guess he would have taken any baby with that number? and we all just lucked out that this is a story involving many of the major characters, instead of, like, the 3rd grade teacher of a school we've never heard about?
MOCA: Dante asks Curator Guy to see the footage that was shown tonight. Curator Guy is happy to oblige. Jason asks Guy Who Sang Route 66 where Franco is. GWSR66 says "he's waiting for you to find him." For some reason this satisfies Jason.

Forced Couple Room: Liz finds Nik and Lucky, who are still listening to Franco's head talking about Francofrenia. Am I the only one who wants to stab him? Liz asks what it means.
MOCA: Franco grabs a woman and holds a gun to her head. Jason rushes over. Various art patrons ooh and aah over the brilliance of what they think is performance art. The woman with a gun to her head just thinks it's exciting. Good for you, woman with a gun to your head.
Nurse's Station: Olivia applies pressure to Ethan's wounds while Stephen does chest compressions. Shawn Douglas meanwhile is having trouble keeping Mac alive. Stephen tries to calmly ask Maya to pick up the phone and call for help. Maya? Just sits there. Shawn Douglas screams out her name, but still she sits. I mean, fine, y'all, I would be a wreck if total strangers got shot in front of me, but I could work a phone. I knew you were trouble, Maya! booo! Stephen has to ask Michael to help since Maya is useless. Oddly he tells him to go to the ER instead of calling, but whatever. Kristina sits and cries and looks over at Mr. B, who is lying face down, but with his head contorted in an uncomfortable looking way just so he can stare at her. She can't meet his gaze. He softly says "hey." It's creepy. Patrick and Carly show up next, Carly gasps when as she takes in the scene. Patrick asks for her help with Mr. B. Carly gasps again when they turn him over and realize he's Mr. B. Carly rushes over to Kristina's side, realizing what all of this means, and gently cups her face, asking if she's okay. Mr. B hisses to Kristina "this is all your fault." Patrick's face registers a look of disgust that sometimes his job is to save the lives of dirt bags. Kristina continues to sob silently.
Commericals
Carnage Station: Patrick pronounces Mr. B dead. Shawn barks out "good, now I need some help." Patrick rushes over to help with Mac. Carly tells K this is not her fault. Kristina cries that K-Dad wanted to kill her b/c she lied, and if Michael hadn't shoved her out of the way... Carly interrupts her and tries to hold down the panic as she asks where Michael is. Stephen and Olivia discuss the severity of Ethan's wounds, and Kristina begins to sob loudly that Ethan can't die. It gives me goose bumps, this kids' wailing. Olivia gently says they are trying. Lisa and Robin show up and survey the scene. Robin realizes it's Mac and demands to know how bad the injuries are. Shawn tells her it's serious.
Forced Coupling Room: Lucky goes off to be useless somewhere else. Nik says Liz should go hang out with Magical Cancer Patient Lady to take her mind off things until they find Aiden. Liz cries that Shirley died, and Nik is sad to hear it.
MOCA: The lady Franco is using both as a prop in his performance art and as a real life hostage calls out fakely "help, save me!" Franco says she sucks, and everyone laughs. Jason walks towards franco, so he turns the gun on Jason. Jason says he's got his attention. He says they can go talk somewhere privately. The crowd boos. Franco dares Jason to whip out his piece and shoot him. There aren't really any witnesses b/c they all think this is art. Prop/Hostage asks if he can loosen his grip a little b/c he's hurting her. He tightens her grip until she begins to panic and squirm. A few people in the crowd become agitated. Franco then yammers about whatever the hell he talks about. He says Lex will live on forever in his work. Then the big screen shows Lex holding a photo of Michael. Franco tosses Prop/Hostage Lady at Jason and makes a run for it. The crowd slows Jason from following Franco b/c they want to ask him questions about if he really had a gun or is a cop. They're all still titillated and stupid and drunk on champagne. Franco runs around the corner where he's caught by another camera. The cameraman interviews him and says the gun was loaded, so he could have gotten hurt. Some Charicatrure of an Art Patroness shows up with her perfect Art Patron Hair and goes on and on about how fresh and inventive Franco's art is. This is all caught by the camera filming the show within the show, and Franco hams it up by smiling and winking directly at the audience a lot. It's exhausting.
Commercials
Lounge #2432432: Carly drags Kristina and Michael into one of the bajillion conference rooms in this joint. Kristina wails that it's all her fault if Ethan dies. She talks about how Sonny thinks K-Dad hit Kiefer. Carly says that's awful. She gently touches Kristina's cheek, but firmly turns her face towards her own and says none of that makes it okay for Kiefer to hit her.
Carnage Station: Maxie asks Shawn D if he's going to save Mac. Her sad little voice makes everyone stop and look at her for a moment b/c they all know they guy is basically dead meat, but Shawn says he'll try. Robin tries to distract herself by staying busy.
Stairwell: Franco and his cameraman, Vince, go into a stairwell. Vince says that people aren't supposed to die. Franco angrily says "who says?" then he grabs at the camera aka at Vince and they struggle until the camera falls to the ground, and Vince's lifeless body falls into view of the camera. But then Franco still turns and looks directly at us through the regular ABC cameras. Like I said, exhausting.
MOCA: Dante and Jason meet up and compare notes and then dante rushes off and gets a call from Lucky. Dante and Jason also seem to be looking into the camera. Dante then runs into Looloo.
Stairwell: Jason walks in and finds Vince now upright on the stairs. Jason goes over to check for a pulse, and we hear Franco's voice from up above laughing that Jason knew Vince was dead. then shots ring out and bounce off the railings. Unfortunately, no one dies.

Nik, Liz and Lucky are walking from room to room, checking for something. Liz busts in on a couple holding a newborn. Nik holds Liz after they've looked in a few rooms. Isn't Lucky a cop? If my buddy's nephew was missing in a hospital, I'd quickly come in on my day off to help look.
Conference Room: Carly and Michael reassure Kristina that this wasn't her fault.
Hallway: Shawn D chugs a cup of coffee, and Maxie runs after him and begs him to save Mac, b/c he's he best parent she's ever had, and if he won't do it for her, do it for Robin, but please do better than his best. Well, he probably lost a pint of blood during that selfish little speech, dum dum, so thankfully he doesn't waste time answering or being insulted that he ever does less than the absolute best he can to save people's lives, and he runs to scrub in.
Olivia asks Stephen about Ethan, who assures her Ethan made it to the ER and is still alive for now thanks to her. Olivia faints and Stephen catches her. Is she pregnant? Maya thanks Olivia for helping when she was frozen. Olivia knowingly says Ethan must not be the first person she's seen shot. Yeah, and that guy died too. Maya is a serial killer assistant, y'all!
MOCA: I think Looloo is saying Jason won't do anything stupid while she's here b/c he'd have to answer to Carly. What?
Stairwell: Jason chases Franco up the stairs. They stop every so often so that Franco can speak in aggravating riddles. He doesn't understand why Jason lets his feelings get in the way of his talent. But then he met Jocelyn and blah blah he realizes that Jason has a nurturing connection with Michael and that changed him. or whatever. something like that. Jason says he'll never have that. Wait..the hell? Why is Jason bothering to discuss this with Franco? He won't have a conversation to save their lives with Liz or Sam, but he'll sit and entertain this bozo's nonsense? Spinelli would LOVE to sit around and jabber about stuff, but nuthin'. Franco totally won! More shots ring out. I think Franco takes a bullet this time.
Commercials
Lounge: Maxie finds Robin sitting alone. Maxie tells her Mac will be fine. Robin has to swallow a few times before she can speak, and then she says he has to be fine. They joke about sending him on a vacation when he gets better b/c he deserves it after raising them. Maxie says she's only been around when she needed something. Robin winces and cries b/c the same is true for her. Maxie resolutely says they will have the chance to show him how much they care about him. Robin nods, and they clutch each other's hands.
OR: Shawn D and Patrick work on Mac. Shawn says Mac is a lot worse off than he thought.
MOCA: Mad World starts playing while Route 66 guy, now in drag as a red head starts reciting parts of the lyrics as a poem. Meanwhile Franco and Jason continue running up the stairs. The crowd watches Route 66 Drag Queen, but suddenly a man's voice calls out "I know where the baby is." Everyone looks above the stage to where a man with slicked hair wearing a tux is slowly backing up towards some railing a few stories above the stage. His hands are up as if someone is pointing a gun at him. He backs up until he falls over the railing. Loo hides her face in Dante's shoulder, mortified by the sight. Dante and Loo rush forward to see a man lying face down in a dark pool of blood, his arms and legs contorted strangely. Drag Queen recites "I find it kind of funny. I find it kind of sad. It's a mad world." Everyone clutches their champagne and tries to figure out if they are supposed to applaud or flee. Dante and Loo look up and see Jason appear, holding a gun. The big screen with 1984 Francohead is visible, and we can hear Franco's taped voice yammering about Francofrenia. Dante gives him a pursed lipped Aunt Bee look of disapproval. Jason wishes he'd eaten the Activia that Sam packed him.

I SO CALLED the death of Mr. B! Why right a compelling story about the abuse cycle when you can just kill people off? It's not enough that they made Keifer an abuse victim AFTER killing him, now the dad is killed off too? Mrs. B better watch out, huh? Great caps, mad!

Great Caps Mrs Mad! Is olivia Pregnant? Can you see Dante with a Mobster Dad and a mobster Little brother,Johnny Jr? The Mr B clips were great. The look on his face will push K over the edge forever! I'm liking Mykill #3 but I'm sure he was violated in the Pen, poor thing. That Franco crap is nonsense. Sadly, I never heard of him before he appeared on GH and I'm gonna take your word that he doesn't SUCK as he does on the soaps. That only concludes that...IT'S THE WRITERS!!!
