GH 8/27: how 'bout breaking off that 12 inch stiletto and use it as a splint

Cabin:  Sam n Jason are still trapped.  She throws a pouty tantrum when he gets annoyed again that she keeps trying to walk on her feeble ankles. Based on the shoes she wears, my guess is this is really a hammer toe issue and not an ankle issue.

Cafe Interrogate:  Sonny asks Dante to believe him again because he's his father.  That is so endlessly preposterous that I can't see where it begins or ends.  It's the Alpha and Omega of ridiculous.  Darth Vader had a more credible argument in this regard, and Darth could kill people with his mind.  Also?  taller.

Italy:  Poor Movie Star Boyfriend continues to tenderly speak lovingly to his aging mini model of a girlfriend, and all she can do is look at Sonny's phone number.

Credits

Cabin:  Jason N Sam talk strategy. Basically, it will involve their being out of bullets and completely out numbered and then being able to Buffily kill everyone anyway.  Except she was magical, and Joss Whedon rules, so it angers me that I even made that comparison.

Cafe Interrogate:  Dante and Sonny continue to boringly yammer about the latest non fatal GSW to the chest.  Sonny's defense continues to be "I'm not lying."  Sonny would, of course, be so reasonable if the shoe were on any other foot.  For example, on Claud's foot.  Not that he knows where her foot is anymore.

Italy:  Giggling ensues.

Emma's Cottage:  Robin is irate that Patrick wants a second chance.  Yadda yadda, as eloquent, understated and lovely as I found their first scene where he revealed the affair, I find this clunky and obnoxious.  I mean, I dig it there would be endless fights after an affair, but he's ridiculous that he's not willing to stay in a hotel for 48 hours at least to let her process this, and in the meantime do everything he can to start proving by action, not word that he's sorry.  Likewise, if Patrick won't leave the house, then she should for a short time.  Take the baby and go to Maxie's.  They don't need to be in the same room.

Locker room:  Lisa and Stephen look at the massacre that took place in Lisa's locker. Everything seems to be covered in blood.  It would be awesome if somehow Lisa got a sample of Robin's blood and used that to pour over everything.  Stephen thinks she should call the police.  Lisa cries and thinks she should milk this for all its worth.

Commercials

Cry N Sob Cottage:  Patrick whines that she left for Africa and that he feels like he doesn't measure up to Stone.  She says "so it made sense to sleep with Lisa?"  patrick says she and Lisa saved a patient and had drinks and went down memory lane, and he made a selfish mistake.  Robin cries that he lied when she came home and told him he missed her.  He says he did miss her, but they had been drifting apart.  She says sleeping with someone else is not the solution.  He cries that he was scared, so he lied, and he didn't want to lose her.  Robin cries that there is a part of her that wants to forgive him, but then she thinks about how Emma was missing for an hour, and Lisa is crazy.   She tearfully begs him to leave.  He smears snot across his face and tells her he loves her and that he's not giving up.  She says "neither will Lisa."  He leaves.

Cafe Interrogate:  Dante says he could tell Walsh that he believes Sonny is telling the truth, but it wouldn't matter b/c she has the tape and Sonny's plan to kill Johnny.  Sonny says he's going to prison then.  Dante says they have to find someone who can back his version.  He asks Sonny to go through it again, tell him about someone he may have seen on the street.  Sonny says Lou and Walsh won't like that Dante is helping him.  Dante says something about Bensonhurst "you tell me you're innocent, I want to uncover the truth."

Commercials

Docks:  Everyone in town has a Palm Centro.  Lisa sidles up to Patrick.  He tells her to keep walking.  She says she heard about the fight with Robin at GH, and she's sorry, she only wants him to be happy.  Patrick says he was happy before she came around.  Then he makes ridiculous statements that somehow Lisa ruind his life and Emma's.  Dude, Emma never met her before she kidnapped her.  You made this bed, buckaroo.  Oh, I see, he's not blaming Lisa for the cheating, he's blaming her for making it so that he had to confess to Robin about the affair before Lisa did something truly diabolical.  Whatever, dude, you don't want crazy pants sociopaths destroying your life, then don't have sex with them and then treat them like trash.  See also:  Attraction, Fatal.

Cabin:  talky talky talky

Cafe Interrogate:  Dante continues to try to jog Sonny's memory.  Sonny says John looked away for a split second, but Sonny didn't see anyone on the street.  Sonny suggests that Johnny ditched the gun before the paramedics arrived.  Dante says this would have left a trail of blood.  Diane shows up and starts yelling at Dante for questioning Sonny without her present.  Mo stares into space and then a good 30 seconds later remembers he has a line and says she doesn't know what's going on here, and that Dante is trying to help.  She is reasonably dubious.  Dante leaves, and Sonny insists that Dante believes him.  Diane says he's going to do anything to shore up Walsh's case.  Sonny interrupts that Dante is his son.  She adds the whole part about Dante is investigating how Johnny came to have the exact same wound that Sonny inflicted on Dante.

Italy:  Brenda remembers a series of Sonnysex montages that all seemed to happen under mosquito netting.  Move Star Boyfriend brings her a beer.  He's got a gig playing a spy.  They talk about his fame problems and how it's so unfair that everybody wants him, or whatever idiot point they are forever making.  He says she had a sad look on her face and asks what she was thinking about.

Commercials

Cabin:  SamNJason talk about their love and their completeness and how he doesn't understand how she can be put through so much, what does she get from it.  She says she gets him and that's all that matters.  He can make it up to her with a bubble bath when he gets home.  He says he doesn't feel that guilty.

Cafe Interrogate: Diane asks Sonny not to speak to anyone unsympathetic to his cause.  She asks if it really never occurred to him that Walsh might be wearing a wire.  Sonny gets pouty in his mumbles and says he didn't want to see what was in front of him, and it wouldn't be the first time.  Diane says it just might be the last.   She leaves, and Sonny flashes back to The Wire Fight.

Italy: Brenda asks not to talk about sad things and wants to celebrate.  He jokes that she's accepting his proposal.  She laughs that she's not, and they drink to his movie franchise.  He suggests a canoe ride.  She wants to run lines.  This is the clumsy segue to Brenda talking about how Murphy's movie character is aloof, and cold, and kills with no regrets. She tells him to practice feeling nothing.  She stretches the word out and demonstrates a flat line with her hand "nooooothiiiiiing."  He says she knows about this b/c of the man from her past.  She nods and says "my husband."  He's confused.  She tells him the man she actually married she never even slept with, and it was for convenience.  He asks if it's not time she married for love.

Commercials

Docks:  Patrick tells Lisa that even if Robin never forgives him, he'll never end up in Lisa's bed again.  Lisa says she doesn't think that's true, and in a few days, he won't either.  Robin calls him tearfully and says she found Emma's puppy that Emma always puts her socks on. (officially makes the top 1500 cutest things ever list.  I'd have to do some research to find the exact number.  It's somewhere around "Mama Panda Jumps when Baby Panda Sneezes)  Robin says she's mad at him, but they have to think of Emma, so she's willing to talk.  Patrick says he'll do whatever she wants.  Lisa eaveslurks.

Cabin:  Jason says it's time for him to kill all the bad guys by meaning to.

Cafe Interrogate:  Diane tells Sonny that the judge is allowing the tape into evidence.  She says she gets paid triple for this.  "If you'd stop going around shooting people, you could save yourself a considerable amount of money."  She asks why he did this.  He says he shot Johnny so he wouldn't be killed.  She says she means why did he do any of this, open himself up to getting caught by Walsh, leaving Johnny to bleed to death on the street.  She says she thinks he wanted to get caught.  He says that's nuts.  Bernie shows up at Diane's behest.  She pointedly says to Bernie that she could never suggest a client jump bail, even if he had the resources to do so.  Bernie asks what would happen if this hypothetical client didn't jump bail.  Diane says the Mr. Hypo would spend life in prison.  She leaves, and Bernie sits and asks Sonny when he wants to leave.

Commercials

Cabin:  Sam has a shotgun and sits behind a table.  Jasn has made his way all the way around the cabin and up a small mountain, where he sees The Danger approaching the cabin.  Because why wouldn't 12 guys all approach the same opening and not surround the place and cover all entrances and exits?  Jason shoots at The Danger, and they shoot back.

Cafe Interrogate:  Bernie can't reach Jason, Max or Milo.  Sonny says to pay bail no matter how high.  Bernie asks where he wants to land.

Italy:  Movie Star Boyfriend whispers something about the comfort and companionship he gets from her.  Dude, get a labrodoodle if that's your goal.  He asks if she needs the go crazy kind of love.  She doesn't want to be crazy and likes what they have.  I've seen more romantic toothpaste commercials.  She says she will marry him and then cackles in his face.  They happily kiss.

Cafe Interrogate:  Bernie says there are many details.  He asks again where Sonny wants to disappear to.  Sonny whispers, "Rome"

Italy:  Brenda repeats that she wants to marry him, and she won't change her mind when she gets back to Rome.

Robin tearfully drives down the road.  Lisa hears an approaching car. I guess this is Fancy Alley and not the Docks.  whatever, for some reason, Patrick has been standing around in a street, and Lisa telepathically knows Robin's car is approaching.  Patrick drops one of Emma's little pink socks that he's been cradling all day.  Lisa runs out in front of Robin's car, and Robin hits her at full force.  But...if Lisa hadn't done that, I think Robin would have run over Patrick b/c she wasn't slowing down.  Lisa tumbles onto the car and then rolls off and onto the street.  Patrick rushes to her, and Robin rushes to get out of the car.

the end

Thanks Mad, Sonny yammering with Dante, Brenda & MSBF, what a complete snoozefest until Lisa runs in front of the car at the very end. I was falling asleep watching. Love your recaps.
