GH 1/5: give me a minute, just watched OLTL

Just watched this insanely taut episode of OLTL, and I need a minute to bother with this cruddy show.

I just watched a, forgive my profanity, shitstorm of crazy on OLTL, Hannah, Cole, Mitch, Lindsey, Allison, Troy are back, and on this show?  Jax is back and lurking.  I don't know how to spell the onomatopoeia for that.  something like vlurgblechtia

Sam is wearing the cutest outfit though.  It's her usual jeans and black tank top but with the most adorable sweater with a  cowl neck , and it's shorter in the front.  not a good description, but it's super cute!  Molly and Sam agree to meet at Kelly's over a Cobb salad.

Dr. Abs and Shaun bond over Wilson.Shaun is training Wilson to be a vet dog.

Carly shows up with her giant baby. She's worried about Michael.

Michael has summoned Johnny to ask for a job.  yishe.

credits

Patrick asks Robin to be straight with him.

Spinelli shows up to be annoying and point out that it's ridiculous that he still lives here.

Loo has on a terrible shirt.  It's super cute for maternity wear, but she's not pregnant, so it makes no snense.  and the sleeves are flaired.  and it's all kind of Puffy Shirt.  and all shades of blue and purple.  Nope.  Tempxie shows up dressed like condiment packets.  Her top is mustard yellow, and she is wearing ketchup colored leggings.  the hell?  she's pissed that Loo and Dante got married without telling her.

Kelly's"  Milly bonds with Shaun and learns about doggie therapy.  Joss rambles on.  She is very cute when she loves petting the doggy, though.  Even big headed babies are cute when they love on doggies.

Shaun meets Carly outside and whines that Everyone Hates Her (well, Hates Her More) now that they know that she had a vague idea that Jax might be alive.

Michael wants to stop the freak who is beating up Abby's friends.  Johnny admits he sounds silly saying it, but he thinks the police should handle it.  Johnny wonders what Sonny would think if Michael worked for him.  he muses that Michael just wants to piss off Sonny.

Commercials

Carly and Shaun talk.  still dont' care

Michael wants to be a mobster so hard.  johnny points out that Jason has had Michael's back his whole life, and now Michael wants to spit in Jason's face.  Michael whines that Jax is alive.
Johnny:  and your point is?

Michael insists to work with Johnny.  Johnny says he liked hiring Michael when it meant he'd have leverage over Sonny.  Michael keeps whining to be hired.

MC:  Alexis, who was suchabitch to Carly earlier is not sniping at Sonny that Sonny better not try and kill Jax.  Shut the eff UP, Alexis, you twit.  Alexis whines that she defended him to Carly.  oy.  Sonny smarms that she knew exactly what she was getting into when she made a deal with him.  Mac pops in to say the case on Jax's death is closed since Jax is alive.  Alexis cries and covers her face with her glove.  sonny and I both look at her like "huh?"

Sam leaves Spin and Jason alone.  Spin is moving.  To Pine Valley, I hope!  then it gets all xylophony, so I lose consciousness.

commercials

GH:  patrick continues to give his wife every chance to remember that she's married.  Patrick and Robin finally have the conversation whereby they admit they thought the other one killed Lisa.

Maxiepad:  I love whoever writes for Maxie.  I love Maxie, apparently no matter who plays her.  (I also hate Maxie no matter who plays her)  Maxie goes off on Loo for abandoning her as a party planner.  Loo and Dante try to quell Maxie's anger, but then Maxie finally admits that she's really bummed that she's losing a flat mate and a best friend.  Loo is adorably sweet by making a pouty sad face.  Loo finally gets that all the pomp and circumstance of a wedding is for the people that have helped you create the person you are the day you get married. I personally believe all people should give their vows of marriage in private and in public.  you can do it all at once by whispering your vows to each other and then saying them out loud, but they are for you and them.  no marriage survives without the help of people reminding you how much you love your spouse.  and no marriage can last if you did it just to make friends or family happy.  marriage is both a personal and a social arrangement.  I encourage elopements.  They are romantic and lovely.  but come ON.  give me a little something and let me throw you a party where we dress up and drink and dance and pray for your happiness!  That's all Maxie wants, and I hope Loo does the right thing and lets her have it.

John doesn't want Michael to make decisions based on drinks.  John says Michael is a liability right now, John is at war with rival families, and Michael is at a war with his own family.

carly and shaun have a boring conversation.  Jax lurks

Milly and Dr. Abs hang out, and he points out that he has to be Australian, and she points out that she'll be a waitress living here soon.  Sam shows up to hear Dr Abs talk about a spirit child formed on the winds. and Milly wonders if a spirit baby is good or evil.

It's my understanding this storyline will be dropped, but I find it fascinating. and not just b/c I randomly love Sam on a whim.  I identify with Sam and her inability to have a child.  If I could suddenly have a child, but the father of the child raped me and was terrifying, what would I do when everyone started telling me to kill my baby?  Sam, who had a baby die inside of her at 37 weeks?  and what does Jason do?  He's got a wife who's agreed to murder people for a living and wear leather forever.  She loves him no matter what.  Can he love her even if she has a rape baby that she wants to keep and raise as their own?  It's a big question.  I like that this was written so that ultimately, Franco didn't rape Sam.  that Jason knocked up Sam, and Franco just facilitated their desire to have a baby together, even if their baby was part monster.

Commercials

robin and Patrick are super happy that neither of them is a murderer.  They try to figure out which of their friends is a murderer.  Patrick thinks this is why Robin has been acting all wonky.  Robin lies that she's just got to get back from Africa, even though we know she's going to Seattle Grace.

Sam interrupts Milly and Dr Abs.  Sam warns Milly that Alexis can't take another daughter falling for an older, Australian guy.  Milly laughs that Dr. Abs is probably 30.  Sam nods "yes, ancient!  older."  Milly likes that Dr. Abs is helping Shaun.  Milly has a Cassadine yearbook to show Sam.  Sam doesn't want to be involved in this particular dark world.  Milly laments that since she joined high school, suddenly all the girls are talking about sexual conquests and things that were never written about in her books written by spinsters. Sam sighs and lovingly says that Milly should just be herself, which is a super great thing to be, and enjoy being a sheltered sweetheart of an ingenue b/c rape babies and murder will find Milly in due time.

Jason and Spin discover that Spin can google stuff on his phone now.

MC:  Alexis cries that she misses Jax b/c Sonny forced Jax to be alone.  Mayor Evil wants to interview Alexis.  she doesn't want to go out with Mayor.  it's super embarrassing.

John continues to dissuade Michael from being a mobster. Carly barges in and is worried by Johnny's presence.  which gives Johnny a hard on.

commercials

Maxie Pad:  Mustard Maxie cries that she'll miss Loo.  Loo is sweet and promises Maxie can still call her.  Maxie whines that they can't watch crappy movies in their slippers together.  Loo promises they can still Thelma and Louise whenever Maxie needs it.  Maxie stops crying, and Dante rushes out.  Loo and Maxie promise to be BFF's.  This is all it takes to make Maxie pull Loo onto the sofa and beg for details.  Maxie hugs her and says she can come back anytime.  Loo says she loves this offer.  She tries to pull away, but Maxie holds tight for a bit longer.  Loo promises they'll talk soon.  I love this moment.  I love whenever this show remembers that girls watch this show and girls love each other.  I hope and pray I'm married to Mr. Mad until I die.  I have girlfriends, many of whom are reading this right now, and I have no doubt that I'll be with them until the end.  We didn't need a license or a dress or a special day.  We found each other and we serve at each other's pleasure.  BFF's rule.  even if you don't have a necklace to prove it.  Loo leaves, and Maxie calls Matt.

Sam and Milly eat their favorite salad bits off each other's plates, to accentuate my point.  Boys may come and go, but my girlfriends may have my croutons forever.  Sam pays up and Dr. Abs flirts with her. Sam isn't interested.

Jason and Spin blather about finding Franco.  Spin remains a roommate for now.

John promises Carly that he is here to offer condolences.  Michael kicks Carly out.  Carly talks about what Jax wanted.  John counsels that they should take a step back.  Carly insists she didn't want to put Jax in danger.  Michael throws her out angrily.  she leaves.Johnny steps out of the shadow and begs Michael to think about this.  John asks what Abby would want.  Michael retorts "what would Claudia want?"

commercials

Dr. Abs and Shaun bond over Wilson some more.  I love dogs so much, maybe not so much in the place where I get my chili.  Milly shows up and offers to walk Wilson.  Shaun and Milly bond some more.  He's considering leaving Port Charles.  i never like Shaun more than when he's considering leaving.  No offense to the actor.  but the character is borooorrrrriing.

spin finally moves out. Sam will miss him.  Spin and Jason bid their farewell.  Spin obliquely offers help in finding Franco.  Sam and Jason talk about Spin's new phone IOS.  (FOS  oy)  Sam doesn't want Jason to go after Franco now, and she falls into his arms.

Michael says he killed Claud, but John always held Sonny responsible.  Johnny says Sonny was responsible.  Michael says he holds the Stripper Strangler responsible for Abby's death b/cAbby was in Wyle e  coyote territory b/c of the Strangler.  Johnny says he's not open to a deal.  Michael warns he'll call the other families.  johnny caustions this is a bad idea and asks Michael to call him first if he wants to make a bad move.  Johnny leaves and his reaction shows he's sincere in keeping Michael out of the mob, for this reason at lease.  Cujo is there to demand to know how she can keep Johnny away from her son.

I just wish old Maxie would come back, though sometimes I don't hate fauxMaxie, she just doesn't have that sparkle of likability in a totally unlikable situation kind of vibe.

As far as drama and tramau goes this fauxrape story should be rivoting. For every reason you mentioned. I could only believe that Sam would want and love this child no matter who the father turned out to be. At the end of the day both men are killers and with Jason the baby has a better chance of having blue eyes and digestion problems.

I'll be watching the show in minutes. Thanks for the caps.
