YnR 1/5: Score one for the ice rink
Victoria
is so upset that she brushed her hair today. I find this to be
quite disconcerting. They have an appointment with the birth
mother, but Victoria is concerned that Chelsea will blab loudly about
her allegations that Billy raped her. Victoria's hair grows a
bit more fierce when she runs into Sharon and gives her a healthy
dose of sarcastic mocking. "Do you get tired keeping track
of which of my family members you are supposed to be with?"
I'm trying to just roll with it that Harmony suddenly has a
history that involves life experiences that would catch the eye of a
magazine editor, even a trashy one. She's a receptionist, but
times are tough. There are I'm not sure I buy that she'd
be literate or able to operate a computer. I'll pretend she's
been taking classes at a community college for a few years to catch
up for all the decades she spent sitting around drooling and
high.
Ricky's inner langoria starts to show as he rabidly tries to get a job at Restless Style. Billy wants nothing to do with him b/c Ricky hacked the site. Ricky blackmails Phyllis that he'll tell Billy that Phyllis gave him the passwords. Phyllis works her magic and convinces Billy that Ricky is just the sort of dirt bag their stupid magazine needs.
Patty tries
to kill Genevieve with the old "pry up a stair tread with a
crowbar and then cover it with carpet" trick. Fortunately,
Jack catches her as she falls. She suspects Colin. Jack
and Gen hire Ronan to solve this. Watch out for fur balls,
Ronan! Jack invites Gen to move in with him, much to Patty's crazy chagrin.
Ronan and Phyllis agree to continue searching for The
Real Killer. Also, they seem to still be really into each
other, so I don't understand why they aren't together.
Nick
does not seem even remotely into Avery anymore. They have an
awkward conversation at the gym foyer. Then Nick gets served
about a custody hearing, and Avery instantly agrees to be his
attorney. Which? wouldn't that be a conflict of interest
since she's also working for Sharon to try to clear Victor's name?
whatever, show.
Michael and Sharon also take off for the
emergency custody hearing. yadda yadda, Avery argues that Sharon is an unstable nut ball. Michael argues that Sharon only lost custody b/c she was on trial for murder, a murder for which she has been cleared. The judge is Victor's pocket, obs, so he grants joint custody.
Victoria gets her hair in check
again and goes to see her father. She looks so frail and sad
when her hair is pretty. Victor screams at her through the
glass that Victoria should be angry at her useless husband.
Nikki continues to try to free Victor by acting drunk around
Deacon. The thing about Nikki, is she always seems at least one
sheet to the wind, even sober. She meets with Ronan and Paul to
discuss. (ronan and Paul later agree to work together to solve the Diane Jenkins murder and figure out what's up with the weirdness around Genevieve's life) Also, Deacon finds a visitor's pass to the prison in
her purse. Deacon uses said pass to visit Victor. Victor wisely acts as though he doesn't care what Nikki is up to.
